Hartnell Men's Soccer was unable to secure wins on the road Oct. 2 and at home on Oct. 5. After settling for a pair of ties, their record is now 1-0-3 in conference and 5-1-3 overall.

On Oct. 2, the Panthers battled De Anza College in Cupertino to a thrilling 2-2 draw in a marquee state matchup. A goal in each half by sophomore forward Brandon Hernandez (Everett Alvarez High) should have been the winner, but De Anza was able to level on two goalkeeping mistakes.

The offense let the team down at home on Oct. 5 against Evergreen Valley College, Ahead in the first half on a 1-0 goal by Hernandez, the Panthers had three clear opportunities to put the game away with only the goal keeper to beat. Evergreen was able to equalize, giving the Panthers a second frustrating draw.
