Andres Rodriguez
Andres Rodriguez
Year: So.
High School: Salinas

Freshman Year: Completed his second ever season of cross country as a Panther. Andres placed 21st at his first Coast Conference Championship with a season best 23:05 over the Toro Park 4 mile course.

Prior to Hartnell: Andres comes to Hartnell from Salinas High School joining teammate Alfredo Mejia. He competed in only one season of cross country for the Cowboys as a senior but placed third overall in the Monterey Bay League JV Championship. Rodriguez has also run only one season of track but recorded bests of 2:05, 4:42, and 10:14.

"Andres has consistently been our hardest worker. Having only run one season of cross country prior to Hartnell, he's still not only learning to train for the race but also execute it. In track he was able to lower his 1500, 3000, and 5000m bests and those will surely help him perform very well this fall. Andres was a part of a freshmen group with Perez, Mejia, and Niles and he's looking to join them as the new team that will continue the Hartnell tradition of excellence."
