Lady Panthers Score Season High Over Ohlone

On December 20, 2017 the lady Panthers traveled to Ohlone to face the Renegades for a second time this season. The Lady Panthers had no issue getting on the scoreboard early in the game. Hartnell’s starting five consisted of Cristeta Almorade (#3), Carolina Sandoval (#10), Alexus Andrade (#21), Davaughna Thompson (#24), and Dallana Pantoja Perez (#31). Hartnell had a 40-26 lead at the half. Ohlone had 26 turnovers compared to Hartnell’s 8, that allowed for more opportunities for Hartnell’s offense to have more offensive possessions to score. Davaughna Thompson led the team in scoring with her season high of 25 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assist and 7 steals. However, the Hartnell bench helped the team to earn a huge victory over Ohlone for the second time this season. Hartnell’s bench outscored Ohlone’s bench by the margin of 52-7. Alexus Ortiz went 5-8 in the three-point line giving her a season high 15 points; she now ranks second in 3-point percentage in the conference with a 46.2%. Defensively, Valeria Quinones Liddy (#33) also went 8-16 from the field that helped her score 18 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assist, 7 steals and the only block of the game. Overall the Lady Panthers scored their season high with 91 points, in win against Ohlone.
