Jesus Salinas signs to CETYS University in Tijuana

Jesus Salinas, a product of Alisal High, has signed a letter of intent to accept a full-ride scholarship to play basketball this fall at CETYS University in Tijuana, which applied in January to become the first school in Mexico to become part of the NCAA. Salinas, a forward, played in 22 games (starting 16) during his sophomore season with the Panthers, averaging 9.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. He made 81.5 percent of his free throws and shot 53.3 percent from the floor.
