At Hartnell Athletics, our mission is clear: student-athletes first. Every victory we celebrate on the field, court, pool, or track begins with the commitment to helping our student-athletes succeed in the classroom and in life. We believe athletics is not only about competition, but also about developing leadership, resilience, and character that extend far beyond sports.

Hartnell Athletics has a proud tradition of excellence. Over the years, our programs have consistently ranked among the top in California, with championship titles, nationally recognized teams, and student-athletes transferring to four-year universities on scholarships. Our teams across football, cross country, track & field, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s soccer, and swimming & diving continue to compete at the highest levels of the California Community College system.

But our greatest victories happen off the field, pool, and court. Through academic support initiatives like mandatory tutoring, study halls, and mentorship, our student-athletes are achieving record transfer and graduation rates. Their success stories are a testament to the power of combining education and athletics in ways that change lives.
