Academic Excellence

Hartnell College has earned national recognition for its commitment to student success and community impact. In 2024, the college was awarded the Seal of Excelencia, a prestigious certification honoring institutions that go beyond enrollment to intentionally serve Latinx students. Hartnell was also named an Opportunity College and University (OCU) in the 2025 Carnegie Classifications, recognizing its success in expanding access and improving graduates’ earnings outcomes. Additionally, G.I. Jobs Magazine ranked Hartnell among the Top 10 Military Friendly Schools for 2025-2026, placing No. 8 nationally among large community colleges for its strong support of veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
