Panthers Power Through The Storm
Hartnell Closes Strong To Earn Split
The Panthers battled through windy and rainy conditions to split the day, finishing 1-1 overall.
In the opener against Folsom Lake, the 5's pair of Grace Wilson and Alexia Leleua secured a strong win, while the 4's duo of Queen Royal and Kira Krueger earned a decisive two-set victory. The remaining matchups were tightly contested, but Folsom Lake edged out the Panthers 3-2 in several close finishes.
Hartnell bounced back in the second dual against Cosumnes River. The 2's pair of Christina Cunningham and Daisy Cornejo rallied from behind to claim an impressive three-set comeback win. Abby Walter and Aundrea Boykin added another point at the 3's position. With the dual tied, it came down to the 1's team of Dora Roberts and Sofia Luna, who maintained control and closed out a straight-set victory just as the rain began to pour, sealing the 3-2 team win over CRC.
The split brings the Panthers to 2-4 overall. They'll hit the road tomorrow to De Anza College to take on Feather River and Sierra College.
