Blanco Adds T&F All-American to His Accomplishments
Hartnell College sophomore Jesse Blanco concluded his career with a fourth place All-American finish in the 10,000 meter run at the 3C2A State Championship held at the College of San Mateo. Blanco, who placed twelfth as a freshman, moved up eight spots in his second attempt and was part of a Northern California show of dominance in the event with three of the top four finishers all coming from the region. After a slow first 5000 meters in 16:16, Ronald Way of San Diego Mesa College injected some pace that strung out just after the 16 lap mark. Only the three Norcal runners gave chase the best. Blanco would finish a comfortable fourth in 31:53.82, his second fastest time of the season and second under 32 minutes. Blanco finishes the 2025 with the sixteenth fastest 10,000 meters in school history.
Freshman Armando Amaro Moreno competed in his first 3C2A State Championship in the hammer but was unable to record a mark.
