Bio
Jorge Sanchez begins his fourth season with the Panthers specializing in media production and mentoring. Jorge is one of Coach Zepeda's eight Northern California individual champions having won the title in 2016. He would also earn All-American honors for his ninth place finish at the 3C2A State Championship that fall. Jorge is considered one of the all-time great Hartnell cross country runners having been one of the few to earn All-Region honors both his years. He helped win Hartnell College's first regional title in over 10 years with commanding team victory in 2017 at Sierra College. His 2016 and 2017 teams placed in the top five at the 3C2A State Championship both years and was second at the Northern California Regional Championship his freshman year. Jorge placed fifth and second at his two Coast Conference Championships in helping the team to back-to-back titles. Jorge transferred to the University of Alaska Anchorage where he earned All-Region honors in 2018 and competed at the NCAA DII Cross Country National Championship.
Jorge is also a member of the public relations team at Hartnell College and photographer for the Monterey Bay Football Club.
