Bio
Justin is entering his fourth cross country season helping the Panthers. Carrancho is a former highly decorated former Panther distance runner. He competed for the Panthers in cross country in 2013 and 2014. In his sophomore season, Justin emerged as one of the most improved runners in the state placing second at the Coast Conference Championship to his teammate Diego Leon, earning All-Region honors in tenth place at the Northern California Championship, and completing his career with an All-State 19th place finish at the 3C2A State Championship runnign 20:43 on the Woodward Park course. He currently sits ranked thirteenth all-time at Woodward Park. Justin transferred to the University of Alaska Anchorage where he was a member of 2017 national championship qualfiying squad and placed 73rd at the championsihp. Justin completed his four year degree at CSU Chico and has a Master's Degree from Concordia University, Irvine.
Justin continues to remain an active runner having won the Salinas Valley Half Marathon and placed regularly in the Top 100 at the Wharf to Wharf Santa Cruz to Capitola race. He lives with his fiance and two sons in Hollister, CA.
