Bio
Prior to Hartnell: Luis ran his final three years for San Benito High School enjoying his best season as a senior. He placed tenth as a senior at the Monterey Bay League Championship. Luis has also accumulated two significant races at Woodward Park in high school with a best of 17:37.
"We didn't get a chance to see Luis much this summer and that means we'll have to be careful with how much he pushes himself once the team gets together. He's light, with good mechanics and has demonstrated a strong head. But that can also be a negative if he doesn't listen to his body in our training. Once he gets it all right, Luis will be one of our best no doubt."
