Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Competed for three years in cross country at King City High School. Ricky placed as high as second overall at the Pacific Coast Athletic League Championship and seventh at the Central Coast Section Championship. In two CIF State Championship races at Woodward Park, he was 35th and 60th overall.

"The pandemic has been challenging for Ricky but he was able to keep relatively focused in a completely virtual first fall for us. He did his best to train locally and do time trials like the others. Hampered by the occasional plantar or achilles injury he has not been as consistent as he would like but we'll get a handle on it so he can prepare correctly for the fall. Ricky has improved quickly and has similar personal bests to Esteban. Once's he's completely healthy, Ricky will just keep doing what made him great in high school and become one of our best cross country runners no doubt."
