Bio

Freshman Year: Frankie transitioned quickly to four miles with a solid 22:20 performance at the Fresno Invitational. He was the second highest placing freshman for the Panthers. Frankie enjoyed his fastest four mile at the Modesto Pirate Invitational where he ran 21:06. He earned All-Coast Conference honors and competed in the Northern California Championship placing 42nd overall.

Prior to Hartnell: Competed in three seasons of cross country for the Eagles of Alvarez High School. His best finish at the league championship was 14th overall as a junior at the MBL Championship. Frankie has two years of CCS Championship experience in cross country. On the track, Frankie started off as a 300mIH but quickly moved to the middle distances. He was a PCAL finalist in both the 1600 and 3200 meters where he ran a lifetime best for the longer distance.

"Frankie made one of the quickest transitions to four miles as a freshman. He gained valuable experience racing the conference and regional championship meets which will surely pay off when he gets to race them again next fall. The pandemic was a great time for him to log a lot of miles and even some personal bests during time trials. He's been a team leader in high school and he will be called upon to do the same next fall. I'm confident Frankie will make a huge jump and not only be an all-region runner but contend for all-american honors as well."
