On October 21, 2016 the Soccer Lady Panthers visited Fremont Elementary School in an effort to share their experience of being student-athletes at Hartnell College with 6th graders. This shows the team’s enthusiasm to advocate to these children for higher education as well as encouraging them to join sports in the future. "My students were so incredibly happy to have you and your soccer players. The young women represented themselves and Hartnell with such intellect, caring and enthusiasm,” said Teacher Rebecca Durrer. The Lady Panthers also scored a win earlier that week when they defeated Chabot College with a score of 4 - 1. Lady Panther Norma Verduzco scored 2 goals, she is ranked 10th in the state in goals according to the CCCAA. Student-athlete Chance Miguel, scored another goal and had one assist. Diana Lopez, also scored a goal in this game and had one assist. The Lady Panthers are 5th in the state in assists according to the CCCAA. This moves the team’s record to 7-5-2 and 5-0-1 in Coast Conference games.
