Panthers Compete at The Merced College Sprint Invitational
Lady Panthers Place Third
Today the Hartnell Swim Team traveled to the Merced College Sprint Invitational. This was the first meet of the season and a chance to see some high level competition outside of the Coast Conference as the other teams at the meet were Merced College, Modesto Junior College, Clovis Community College, College of the Sequoias, Fresno City College, San Joaquin Delta College, and Consumes River College.
The women's team took third place overall. In her first official meet as a Panther, Myrthe Kramer (Netherlands) earned high point of the meet as the top female performer including a gold in the 50 Backstroke, and a bronze in the 100 Back and 50 Butterfly. Other top female performers were Christina Castorena (Soledad) and Rossy Siguenza (Rancho San Juan).
There were improvements across the board with some impressive PR's from Emily Grifith (Salinas)and Piper Uribe (Salinas)
Next the Panthers host Modesto Junior College in a dual meet next Friday 2/6. Divers will begin at 12:30 with swim races beginning at 2pm.
