Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Maria was a member of the 2016 Notre Dame girls team which qualified to the CIF State Championship. She covered the Woodward Park course in 20:44 in her final season for the Spirits. Maria enjoyed a great final track season lowering her personal bests at 800m to 2:32 and 1600m to 5:31. Over her four years of track, Maria broke 13:00 in 3200m every year with her 12:36 personal best coming in her final year.

"Maria brings some amazing efficiency which was seen on the track over 1600m but I've been most excited about her 3200m consistency over four years. With the help of our ladies and consistent training she could extend her 1600m best to 3000m in no time. This fall she's bringing some terrific championship experience at Woodward Park so we'll be able to measure how far she's come as a Panther come November. Another member of our Fantastic Freshmen, her two years at Hartnell could be one to watch."
