Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Isaac ran all four years for the Toreadores of Monterey High School with his final two serving as the best reflection of his developing ability. He was second at the MBL Championship as a junior marking himself as one of the top contenders for the overall title as a senior. Last fall, Isaac lived up to that promise winning the CCS Championship at Toro Park and qualifying to the state championship where he placed 60th overall in his first attempt. On the track, Isaac qualified to the PCAL Championship in both the 800 and 1600 meters with the longer distance providing him with a lifetime best 4:26 in the final. He is a two year qualifier to CCS in the 1600 meters. Isaac has also posted a solid 10:14 for 3200 meters as a junior.

"We had to wait until summer ended to see Isaac more but he did a great job managing working and getting in some miles when he could. I see a lot of assistant coach Diego Leon in Isaac. We are both curious to see if that vision comes to fruition over the course of the season. A huge talent, Isaac is slowly learning to put in more preparation for cross country and even the spring than he ever has. He's the type of runner that will get better with the distance given his economy and we just want to give him the endurance to run sub 21:20 come state."
