Bio

Prior to Hartnell: Marco has only run one season of cross country prior to Hartnell while at Everett Alvarez High School. in that season, Marco he placed eighteenth at the PCAL Championship and earned a spot in the CCS Championship race.

"I forgot how little distance running experience Marco had until I reviewed it for his bio. The last two years of high school were very non-traditional with limited racing opportunities and it was very difficult for many athletes like Marco to maintain motivation. He was able to use his final spring season to get nearly back to where he left off and have a good starting point for Hartnell. It took a little while to get going on training but he has shown he can handle single day volumes well. As he puts all the training pieces together, he will see he can compete with any of his teammates."
