Freshman Year: Rigo ran in every meet for the Panthers his first season. He posted his fastest four mile time at the Modesto Pirate Invitational in 21:08. Rigo was sixth at the Coast Conference Championship and third for true freshmen. He was the second highest placing freshmen for the Panthers at the Northern California Championship in 21st overall. Rigo finished as the fourth scoring Panther at the State Championship in 70th place.

Prior to Hartnell: The only incoming freshman with four years of CIF State Championship experience, Rigo was the cornerstone of the up and coming Greenfield High School program. As a senior, he finished second at CCS at Toro Park and posted the second fastest Woodward Park time by area performers at 16:10. He finished top six his final three years at the CCS Championship and was a consistent top performer at the league championship. In track, Rigo has shown ability at both 1600 meters and 3200 meters. He broke 10:00 four times a senior capped with a lifetime best 9:46.

"Rigo definitely has the potential to be an All-American runner for us. He did a fairly good job staying engaged during the long layoff from in-person training and competition. With what he did during the time he saw improvement in his 5k time trail. The key with Rigo is striving for excellence and being consistent with his daily intent in training. It won't take much of a change but it will make a huge impact in his success. I think this year was a blessing for him and in the fall he could be a monster come the state championship."
