Freshman Year: Joseph competed in every race during his first season with the Panthers. He posted his fastest four mile at the Modesto Pirate Invitational in 21:49. He placed thirteenth at the Coast Conference Championship to earn all-conference honors. Joseph finished his season with a 46th place finish in his first Northern California Championship.

Prior to Hartnell: Joseph competed all four years in cross country at San Benito High School where he was a three year CCS participant. At the MBL Championship his junior year, he posted a solid 16:47 at Toro Park and has a 17:02 mark at Woodward Park which he recorded at the early season Clovis Invitaitonal. On the track, Joseph qualified to CCS his final two years once at at the 3200 meters as a junior and in the 800 meters as a senior.

"Joseph continues to grow a runner during the pandemic. Like most of our sophomores he continued to train as if we would have a fall season and saw an improved confidence over longer distance efforts. He was even able to run a 5000m time trial best despite the disruption to competition the pandemic brought. Joseph has some great tools to build on and as he continues to train well I'm confident the even he will be surprised by his performances."
