Hartnell Vs. Skyline
Lady Panthers Take Down #10 Skyline
Final Score
Hartnell College 65
Skyline College 47
The Panthers picked up a huge crossover statement win on the road, taking down #10 ranked Skyline College with toughness, togetherness, and pure grit. From the opening tip, Hartnell defended, rebounded, and executed like a veteran group determined to finish strong.
Alana Hernandez paced the offense with 16 points, Mia Henson added 15, and Bailey Cotter chipped in 12, giving the Panthers a balanced attack.
In the closing minutes, Bleona Agushi calmly controlled the game at the foul line, knocking down clutch free throws, while Yulissa Alvarez's presence in the paint protected the rim and dominated the boards to seal it.
And in true team-fashion — the night even came with a little comedy.
Let's just say… someone (no names… but number 11) forgot their shoes.
So what did the Panthers do?
They shared shoes during sub rotations like it was recess basketball — swapping pairs on the bench and hustling back into the game without missing a beat. If that doesn't define team-first mentality, nothing does. It brought laughs, energy, and honestly summed up the night: whatever it takes to win, together.
This was more than a win — it was a reflection of the culture. Sacrifice. Support. Unity.
Hartnell now heads into the final stretch of conference play with momentum, hosting Mission College for Sophomore Night on Feb. 11 at 5 PM.
Big win. Big heart. One team.
Go Panthers.
