Bio

Freshman Year: Isaac enjoyed a very successful first season of collegiate four mile racing. He started the with a 25th place finish at the Fresno Invitational in 21:45. He placed eleventh at the Norcal Preview Meet at Toro Park finishing as the top Panther. Isaac was third at the Coast Conference Championship and tenth at the Northern California Championship. He was the fourth highest placing underclassmen and earned All-Norcal honors. At the state championship, his 21:18 at Woodward Park moved him into the all-time list. He was the eighth highest placing freshman and 24th overall.

Prior to Hartnell: Isaac ran all four years for the Toreadores of Monterey High School with his final two serving as the best reflection of his developing ability. He was second at the MBL Championship as a junior marking himself as one of the top contenders for the overall title as a senior. Last fall, Isaac lived up to that promise winning the CCS Championship at Toro Park and qualifying to the state championship where he placed 60th overall in his first attempt. On the track, Isaac qualified to the PCAL Championship in both the 800 and 1600 meters with the longer distance providing him with a lifetime best 4:26 in the final. He is a two year qualifier to CCS in the 1600 meters. Isaac has also posted a solid 10:14 for 3200 meters as a junior.

"Isaac really stepped up for the Panthers during the pandemic. Not only did he want to make sure the time was well spent for himself, he wanted to see his teammates continue to improve as well. Isaac had a great freshman year and was poised to be a cross country All-American and contend not just for the Coast Conference title but Norcal one as well. Although he was unable to race, Isaac has been able to see marked improvement in his training and will look forward to a return to competition after his mission."
